Dale's obituary
We sorrowfully announce the passing of Kenneth Dale Phillips, better known as Dale, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather. Dale was born on August 29, 1943, and moved on from this life on October 11, 2023.
Remembered for his friendly, outgoing, and funny personality, Dale made a significant impact on those around him. His generosity and dependability were standout characteristics, forming a lasting legacy that his family and friends will carry forward.
Dale leaves behind his loving wife Nancy, whom he married in 1971. Their union was blessed with four children: Bryan, Kyle (Melina), Colin (Suzanne) and Lindsay (Donald). Dale was not only a devoted father but also a loving grandfather to Zachary and Jonathan.
Dale made a significant contribution to the field of communication technology. Starting his career at Motorola, he later founded Portable Communications Specialists Inc. in 1979. After decades in business, he retired from his career in 2020.
Dale's interest in cars led him to enjoy the thrill of driving. He was a loyal supporter of the Chicago Bears, and also harbored a fondness for the simple pleasures of life, such as a nice steak or a Dairy Queen chocolate dipped ice cream cone. The tales of his love for these activities will continue to bring smiles to our faces.
A Memorial service to celebrate Dale's life will be held on October 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 590 Tonne Road in Elk Grove Village, IL. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share their memories of this wonderful man.
In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations to the American Diabetes Association. Funds are being raised through the website https://everloved.com/life-of….
We extend our deepest condolences to all who have had the privilege of knowing and loving Dale. His spirit, love, and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
