Kenneth's obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth Bishop on July 15, 2025. Born on August 27, 1953, Kenneth lived a life full of love, laughter, and meaningful connections with those around him.

Known for his outgoing, loving, caring, and quirky personality, Kenneth was a revered storyteller whose tales would captivate everyone. He had an uncanny ability to draw people towards his vibrant character. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, cherishing everything from an ice-cold beer to his favorite TV shows such as M.A.S.H, Jeopardy, Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, and Deal or No Deal.

He loved all kinds of music, and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. He liked playing Yahtzee and loved to unwind by fishing, often at his favorite spot, Clear Lake. He and his wife vacationed to Jamaica and they fell in love with it with plans to one day go again.

He was a lover of cinema, with Hacksaw Ridge, Secondhand Lions, and Wild Hogs among his favorite films. Yet, among all things he loved, Kenneth had an insatiable appetite for food and a heart that held no preferences. He enjoyed everything that was laid on the table.

Kenneth's love transcended his personal interests as he deeply cared about causes like St Jude's Hospital and Shriners. His kind heart and love for others echoed in his teachings about how to care for other people and be a good person.

His proudest accomplishment was raising his granddaughter Sheyanne. His legacy of kindness and treating others the way you want to be treated is a testament to his beautiful soul. His teachings remain with everyone who knew him, ensuring his spirit lives on.

Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife, Lorrie Bishop who was a constant source of love and support, his siblings Judy Dashney, Sharon DuRossette, Glen Bishop, Evan Bishop, Phillip Bishop, his nephew Braden Dashney, and neice Nicole Dashney, his daughter Shawnna Parker and her husband Wayne, his granddaughter Sheyanne Smith,  and family member Timothy Barrick.

Kenneth Bishop was not just a beloved individual; he was a force of nature who touched countless lives with his love, compassion, and indomitable spirit. His energy and stories continue to be loved and cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
