Kenneth's obituary

Ken Novack passed away on April 13th in hospice care following a long battle with cancer. He died in the presence of family at the age of 81.

Ken was born on October 18, 1942 in Orange, MA to the late Geraldine and Anthony Novack. He was a 1960 graduate of Orange High School and went on to serve in the navy as a seaman recruit for three years. He later worked at the Western Union Telegraph in Lynn and was Head Clerk for the Lynn Police Department until his retirement.

Not one to be idle, Ken coordinated the local Boston Broadside newspaper in his retirement, and spent many days with a fishing pole in his hands.

A true man of God, Ken served as corps sergeant major, a civilian leadership position, for the Salvation Army Lynn Citadel Corps and later attended Great Rock Church in Danvers.

He was married to his beloved wife, Mary Anne, for 58 years. He leaves her behind along with his three children, Gerald "Jerry" and his wife Claudia, Roxanne and her husband Frankie, and Donald, as well as eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, brothers Alan and Robert, and is predeceased by brother Thomas Novack.
