Giving back to his community was ingrained in Ken since he was a young boy. Raised by his grandparents in VT, his grandmother would send him to deliver groceries to neighbors in need. He helped place flags on Civil War Veteran’s graves in Boston, MA. He was very active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, where he served as Cubmaster for his local district of BSA. He later moved to Kissimmee, FL with his family, where he joined the Moose Lodge. He served in various positions and raised thousands of dollars through various fund-raising activities. Prior to retiring, he worked as a printer and donated printing to his Moose Lodge and paper supplies to local elementary schools. Post retirement, he moved to GA, where he joined the Winder Moose Lodge and continued to be involved in fund raising activities there as well.
Ken was a jovial guy who loved to make people laugh and smile. He was the king of corny Dad jokes. He loved spending time with family and friends and made new friends wherever he went. In his later years, he took up golf and became well known for his flair of bright/ neon colored attire. He enjoyed spending time at the Moose Lodge in Winder, Ga, where he loved to sing karaoke. He had a love for nature and birds and never met a cookie he didn't like!
