I am saddened to learn of Ken passing away.  He was welcoming to his gallery, home and work space.  I am proud to have one of his metal pieces in my home and appreciate its beauty and Ken's artistry daily.

Just learned of Kenny's passing. You only have to glance at his photos to understand the character of the man - and MAN what a character!! My wife, Twila and I will miss him. We considered him a friend for many years. Our sincere condolences to Margie, KC and the girls.

I met Scotty when I was an 18-year-old man fresh out of high school preparing for college. I was shopping at the Saturday hippie market in Eugene, and I found his metal candles intriguing. Using that opening, Scotty told me about Jesus. After several visits to talk about life and how Jesus had given him a new start, I bought a Bible and began reading the Gospel of Matthew. Months later, I gave my life to Jesus, confessing my sins, asking him into my heart, and beginning a new life. The first person I called was Scotty, and he welcomed the good news. I will always thank God for Scotty!

Thank you for sharing Ken’s life ‘s story with words, photos, stories. songs and displaying numerous art pieces he created. Everyone’s efforts presented his memorial in a style, class and beauty worthy of Ken and the love he gifted to others. Thank you!

We requested help from Ken in making a metal part for a tent, knowing that if we went to him that he would tell us about Jesus (which we were avoiding). He did so, in many ways, and sent us off with a New Testament. A couple of weeks later, we both accepted Jesus as our Lord. We had numerous connections for many years, until we moved out of Oregon… but have stayed in touch.

We are eternally grateful for the influence that he (and his family) have had in our lives. Thank you Jesus.

I met Scott at an art fare in 1971, just after he moved to Eugene. We immediately became fast friends. I was his first apprentice and his first employee, and always his friend. We lived together and worked together during the early years of his metal sculpture business. Scott led me to Christ. Scott was my best and oldest friend. He was uniquely gifted and his gifts blessed many people in many ways. I miss him greatly, but am comforted in knowing that "to be absent from the body is to be present to the Lord" (2 Cor. 5). Rest in peace, dear brother.

The first time I meet Ken he was standing on the second floor of his store in Sisters OR looking down as I was admiring his work. We spoke, I inquired if this was his work and what the price was for a specific item. He responded something to the effect of ‘open your wallet, show me your money,  then I’ll come down and we can talk. I opened my wallet stating “I didn’t have cash but I did have a credit card” as I brandished my card. He came down! We meet a new friend. His work has brought joy, amazement, and warmth into our home.
