Kenneth's obituary
Kenneth Michael Wyatt, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home on February 3, 2026.
Ken was born on October 3, 1960, in Dearborn, Michigan, to Dorothy and Bruno Wyatt. A steadfast and devoted presence in the Wyatt family, Ken was not a man of grand speeches, but of meaningful action. His love was most often shown through steady reliability, practical help, and the countless small things he did to make life easier for those around him.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Elaine Wyatt, and his daughters, Kelly Kah and Kristy (Eric) Thill, who knew him as a constant source of support and reassurance. He is further survived by his brother, Douglas Wyatt; sister-in-law, Catherine Wyatt; and his nieces and nephews, Danielle (Chad) Kriston, Pamela (Jonathan) Walton and their children, Rowan (9) and Sylvie Walton (6).
Ken was well known for his love of classic rock music — there was rarely a celebration at the Wyatt home when music couldn’t be heard down the street. Whether it was a holiday, a backyard gathering, or an ordinary evening that turned special, music was often the backdrop to memories made in his home. Beyond his love of music, Ken was a helpful and dependable neighbor, someone who would lend a hand without hesitation.
Ken's career spanned over 40 years in construction, operations, and management in major hotels, shopping centers and office buildings.
A devoted supporter of the Michigan Humane Society, Ken had a special place in his heart for animals. His love for “all furry creatures” was well known, but most especially for his beloved dog, Charlie, who was his loyal companion for 17 years. Caring for Charlie brought him daily joy and companionship, reflecting the gentle and nurturing side of his nature.
To his family, Ken’s constant caring and willingness to help; fixing, building, and simply showing up, was one of the clearest expressions of his love.
His legacy lives on in the family he cared for so faithfully and in the many ordinary days he made better simply by being there.
