Ken was one of my bosses at The Courier News many years ago when I was in my early 20s. Ken and his wife were very gracious in feeding me (the paper didn't pay a lot) and Ken was always receptive to chat about his columns.  He had such a unique voice in his writing and he helped me to understand embracing the quirk in ourselves is a valuable thing. He was a great colleague and even better boss. For such a large (tall and just big) guy, he never came across as imposing and always had a great laugh.

I'm sorry for his passing, but am glad I got to know him during my paper years. A lovely human.
