Kenneth's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved patriarch, Kenneth "Kenny" Kurachi, on July 13, 2025. Kenny, as he was known to many, was born on April 4, 1946, and lived a life full of love, service, and compassionate care for his kin.

Those who had the privilege to know Kenneth would describe him as a man of profound caring, selflessness, love, and compassion. His radiant personality illuminated every room he entered, leaving indelible impressions on the hearts of those he encountered. His life was a masterclass in empathy and altruistic love, meticulously teaching the lessons of being an excellent parent and the importance of caring for others. He fondly reminded us all that 'you only live once', a mantra that underscored his commitment to making every moment meaningful.

Among his many praises, Kenneth is remembered as the best father and caregiver, always prioritizing the needs of his family above all. His time in the marines only amplified his spirit of service and loyalty, strengthening the man he would forever be. As a testament to his life, his greatest accomplishment was the family he left behind.

Surviving Kenneth are his daughters Jennifer, Jessica, and Angela. His warmth lives on in his eight grandchildren: Audrey, Jessie, William, Briana, Marissa, Jayson, Kayla, and Malia. His spirit amusingly jingles in the laughter of his great-grandchildren Sophia and the eagerly-anticipated Aspyn. Kenneth's sisters, Sharon and Joyce, also remain to hold high the torch of their brother's memory.

Kenneth Kurachi was a man whose life was defined by devotion — a devotion so selfless that he often set aside his needs to ensure that his loved ones were well cared for. Undoubtedly, Kenneth's legacy is his family, a testament to his unwavering dedication and love. As we mourn his departure, we celebrate an extraordinary life exceptionally lived and feel immense gratitude for having shared in his journey.
