Kenneth's obituary

Kenneth Joseph Kubacki, 79, of Raleigh, NC passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 2nd, 2025. He was born on June 6th, 1946, to Julian and Margaret Kubacki (McSemek) and grew up in North West Indiana. He was married to his lovely bride Pamela Kubacki for nearly 60 years. The couple spent many years in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

Ken’s greatest accomplishment was that he served IBM and its customers for 33 years before retiring. He got his start in Chicago's IBM Branch Office 100 as a Customer Engineer and made it his goal to eventually make it to Raleigh. So, with a stop at the Atlanta, Ga Support Center he and Pam finally made it to Raleigh at the 3745 Support Center. He eventually became an SPR for various IBM Products. He has many co-workers and friends from his IBM days that he held near and dear to his heart.

In 2000, Ken had a massive heart attack followed by quintuple bypass surgery. In 2004 he received a heart transplant by the Duke Heart Transplant team which gave him 25 more years of memories and love.

He and Pam loved going camping with their family, traveling to National Parks, and especially loved visiting their timeshare at Carolina Beach to which they went at least once a year. Their last beach trip was with Kenn and Morgan for Thanksgiving 2024. All had a great time. They dearly loved all their family and spent a lot of time making great memories.

Ken is survived by his sons Kenn Kubacki and Korey Kubacki (Jennifer), his grandchildren Ryan Kubacki and Morgan Kubacki, and brothers Terry Enloe (Char) and Tom Enloe.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pamela, his daughter Kristen Kubacki Smith (Ken) and his brother Kevin J. Kubacki.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday January 18th from 1-4p in Apex, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Duke Heart Transplant Center so that others may have the opportunity to have extra time with their loved ones. https://www.gifts.duke.edu/dm…
