Kenneth's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Burke. Some may have known him as Burke. Born on February 23, 1951, Kenneth departed this life too soon on July 7, 2025. A man of humor, determination, and warmth, Kenneth's presence was a comforting constant in the lives of all who knew him. His witty personality and unwavering work ethic will long remain in the hearts of his beloved family and friends. He held prior positions at Pullman Standard and the US Postal service. On the side he loved being a handyman for any and all upgrades his daughters and granddaughters presented to him.
Family was at the core of Kenneth's world. He is survived by his devoted spouse of 55 years Cynthia Burke, and his loving daughters Heather Camden (Michael) of Lakeland, Jamie Gallagher(Keith) of Tarpon Springs and Sommer Grant (Tyson) of St. Petersburg. As well as his beloved grandchildren Hannah, Makenzie, Olivia, Tanner, Sawyer, Sayla and great granddaughter Mabel. We cannot forget his many fur grandchildren too.
Family gatherings were Kenneth's favorite occasions, where he would be found with a Rum and Coke or a Michelob Ultra in hand, sharing stories, laughter, and love. Unfortunately, he was predeceased by his parents, John and Marie Burke, and his granddaughter, Zoe Grant.
Known for his profound love for the simple pleasures of life, Kenneth was easily spotted mowing his grass, pursuing his passion for fishing, or enjoying a good cruise. His favorite color, blue, could often be seen in his attire, reflecting the calm and stable aura that made him the pillar he was.
Kenneth was also an ardent sports enthusiast, with the Steelers being his favorite team. His love for television was predominantly spent on CSI, the intricate plots and compelling characters providing a source of joy and intrigue. However, his favorite performances were any that included Tanner, who could always count on Papa’s unwavering support.
Throughout his life, Kenneth demonstrated how to be a hard worker. His commitment, resilience, and dedication were evident in every task he undertook, serving as a lasting lesson for those fortunate to learn from him.
While Kenneth's physical presence is no longer with us, his legacy persists in the values he instilled, the love he shared, and the memories he created. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We love you!
