Kenneth's obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Clevers, 85, of San Marcos, CA, passed away on April 8, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family after courageously fighting numerous health issues. While his will was challenged daily he never lost his love for his wife and family, even when he was too sick to tell them he loved them.

Kenneth was born on January 7, 1939 to Wilbert and Elidah Clevers in Sheboygan, WI. After graduating from Plymouth High School in 1958, he went spent time in the Army Reserves. He enjoyed cars and spent lots of time cruising and then stopping at Ten's Sweet Shop where he met the love of his life Carolyn. Their meeting started a 65 year courtship that never ended. Kenneth was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved he worked three jobs to be able to buy their first home in Sheboygan Falls. Having had enough of the Wisconsin winters Kenny moved to California in 1975 and never looked back eventually working for the city of Escondido for almost 25 years in the street department and ultimately as a Street Superintendent. Watching his family grow and be together meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned would be what he missed most once he left this earth. Kenneth was passionate about cars and could often be found watching any type of car restoration show, looking at car magazines or searching  websites for cars or car parts.

Anyone who knew him knows that he was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grand dad. Kenneth was predeceased by his father Wilbert and mother Elidah. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, sons Chris, Tim and Randy; daughters Ellie and Lorie; brother Merlin (Butchie) and sister Karen.

The family requests that no flower be sent but notes with any great story or time you enjoyed with dad are sent to the family home in San Marcos. There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday April 20, 2024 for family.
