Thanksgiving dinner, Culver City in 2009.
In response to "When was the last time you spent time with Kenneth?"
I remember the FIRST. time that I met your Dad was at Chaminade High School at the Annex in our Homeroom 1-B. I was 5'4 and 110lbs. ( Jockey size) and Ken was 6'9 or so and around 170 or so lbs. (young Maple TREE size) First time I ever had to really bend my neck that far to look up that high to talk to someone. Well I looked up and said "Hi! I'm Eddie Brown! Damn you're REALLY tall" What happened next is what I'll never forget. He looked down and he gave me the most humble, shy BIGGEST grin that I EVER saw and said, "JUST call me Ken". So for the NEXT 4 years I called him Ken and got to see that BIG GRIN everyday. He was one of the most decent, humble and polite people that I have ever met in my life.
R.IP "Kenny Bob" I'm still lookin' up at you.
Kenyetta,
Our condolences and prayers are with you for my dear cousin, Kenneth Calloway. Kenny and I had a close bond and really confided with each other in times of happiness as well as depression. He was a great role model to me as I was growing into manhood.
Rest in peace cousin.
