Ken's obituary
Ken Douglas Brubaker, born on March 11, 1944, in Bryan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, at the age of 81 in Granger, Indiana.
Known for his quiet and caring nature, Ken was a man who touched the lives of those around him in his own gentle way. His remarkable memory for birth dates and anniversaries was a testament to his thoughtfulness and attention to the people he cherished. He was a graduate from Elkhart High School. He enjoyed designing and building projects with wood and metal. He was a long-term and dedicated employee of Central States Fabricating and Precision Industry, Elkhart, Indiana.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis Brubaker, with whom he shared a life filled with love and companionship. He is survived by his sons, Gary (Nicole) Brubaker, St. Augustine, FL and Scott (Maria) Brubaker, Isanti, Minnesota. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Diane Johnson. Brother, Kay (Barbara) Brubaker, Etowah, N.C. and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Ivan Brubaker and Naomi Brubaker.
As we mourn the loss of Ken Brubaker, we will also celebrate his life and achievements. His memory will live on in our hearts and minds, and through the family he loved. We will remember Ken not only as a family member but as a man of honor and kindness, whose legacy will continue to guide us.
Chapel Hill Memorial, Osceola, Indiana, handled arrangements. Cremation has taken place.
