Kelsey's obituary

Kelsey Marie Lindelien, 35, of Chanhassen, MN passed away unexpectedly on June 25th, 2024.

Kelsey was born January 14th, 1989 to parents Michael and Julie Lindelien of Chanhassen, MN.  Kelsey was one of five daughters.

Kelsey graduated from Chaska High School in 2007, with a passion for percussion, even leading the school band at one time. Following high school, Kelsey struggled to find her mission in life, as so many young people do.  However, on September 15th, 2016,  her son James was born. The birth of her son brought new meaning to life for Kelsey.  From that day on, Kelsey lived for the time she would share with James.  Kelsey was always planning action packed, fun filled weekends for James; whether it was a visit to the zoo, amusement parks, local fairs, or a bike ride with James and his cousins (whom she always invited), they were always doing fun activities.  At family functions, Kelsey would be with James and the cousins, as she was unwilling to miss a single moment with her shining star James.  Kelsey quickly gained the reputation as the fun, goofy, silly and unapologetically playful Aunt.  Kelsey loves her son and her family unconditionally.   Kelsey's legacy will forever be the love she has for her son James .

While our hearts mourn the loss of our beloved Kelsey, we take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace, where her vivacious spirit, will forever echo in our lives. Her uninhibited self will always remain in our memories

Kelsey is survived by her son James, her parents Michael and Julie Lindelien, sisters Colleen, Amy, Danielle and Mackenzie, her 13 nieces and nephews, and grandmother Betty.

Kelsey was preceded in death by her grandparents Glen, Donna, Don and Wally.

A memorial service honoring Kelsey will be held on July 9th, 2024 at the Lions Park Pavilion in Victoria, MN.  The visitation will begin at 10:00AM, with a service starting at 11:00AM and a luncheon to follow.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention to NAMI Minnesota (donate.nami.org)
