Kelly's obituary
Kelly Jon Walton, age 63, of St. Louis, MO, passed away in late March 2026.
Kelly was born on July 17, 1962, in St. Louis, MO, to George Walton, Jr. and Eula Belle Walton. He grew up in St. Louis.
Kelly worked as a Dock Worker for Roadway Express, a career he saw through to retirement. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 688.
Outside of work, Kelly was known for his humor and his curiosity about the world around him. He had a passion for music — listening to many genres of music and playing his drum set — and took great pride in his cooking. He loved movies, with Tombstone being a longtime favorite. He enjoyed asking questions about whatever hobby or interest you were into, and loved time spent with his grandson, Maxus, who brought him great joy.
Kelly is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lorcher; son, Jonathan Walton; daughter, Brionna Walton; grandson, Maxus Walton; brothers, George Walton III and Gene Walton; sister, Judy Mitchell; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Walton, Jr. and Eula Belle Walton.
Kelly was one of a kind in every sense of the phrase. He was grateful for the simple things in life and never missed a chance to make someone laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him. In the words of Doc Holliday from his favorite film, Tombstone — "There's no normal life... There's just life. Now get on with it."
