Kelly's obituary
Kelly Denise Mull
March 18, 1968 – May 2, 2025
Kelly Denise Mull, 57, of Apple Valley, MN, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at 7:38 p.m., surrounded by a room full of family—exactly how she would have wanted it.
Born in Elkhart, Indiana, Kelly moved to Minnesota at age 11 and spent her formative years lighting up the south suburbs of the Twin Cities with her vibrant spirit. She attended Henry Sibley High School and graduated from Apple Valley High School in 1986—a time filled with big hair, bigger dreams, and plenty of unforgettable laughs.
Kelly was the proud and loving mother of Kerry Mull, her greatest joy and constant source of pride. Though never married, she filled her life—and the lives of those around her—with love, friendship, and endless late-night calls.
Known for her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and larger-than-life personality, Kelly was sweet and sassy, funny and fearless, and always unapologetically herself. Whether you needed a cheerleader, a confidante, or someone to tell it like it is, Kelly was that person.
She is survived by her beloved son Kerry Mull; her mother Christine Foltz; siblings Stacey Balogh (Dan), Adam Mull (Melissa), and Aubrey Mull; and nieces and nephews Steven, Jared, Nathan, Shane, Lucas, Kirsten, and Axl. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Mull, and her grandparents Paul and Virginia Foltz, and George and Hilda Mull.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date (details to be announced).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her son, Kerry Mull, to assist with burial expenses.
To know Kelly was to laugh loudly, love deeply, and leave every conversation with a story. She’ll be missed more than words can say.
