We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kelly Matsuwaka, whose life was tragically cut short on October 2, 2023. Kelly was a beacon of warmth and kindness, whose compassionate, caring spirit touched everyone she encountered.

Kelly had a knack for making everyone feel welcome and loved with her warm and spicy personality. Her playful teasing and radiant smile were the highlights of every gathering, bringing fun and happiness to those around her. Her innumerable professional and personal accomplishments were admirable; from being a beloved hospital pharmacist to an avid hiker, tennis player, and dog mom. 

Throughout her life, Kelly always prioritized the needs and happiness of others, providing comfort and support in times of need. Kelly's love knew no bounds, extending to her family, friends, coworkers, and patients. 

As we mourn the loss of Kelly, we also celebrate her remarkable life and the legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of kindness, selflessness, and love. Although her life was unfairly short, she will live on through not only her organ donor recipients but also the vibrant community she created.  She connected and touched so many lives. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts and her values will continue to inspire and guide those who were privileged to know her.

Kelly will be greatly missed by Sean and Kirby, along with friends, family, and all who knew her. The void left by her passing is immense, but her spirit will continue to live on through the love and kindness she instilled in us all.
