Celebrating the Life of Kelly Lynn Ohara

Born on July 3rd, 1959, Kelly has lived a life of joy and adventure, culminating in the greatest adventure - a life of true love with her husband, Rob Holcomb. 

Kelly spent her last days and moments surrounded by the love of family and friends, near and far, and the spirit of Rob through the many ravens that visited the yard. Ever the life of the party, Kelly hosted her "living memorial" party at her home where there was much laughter and love. Loved ones kept vigil over her from the moment she closed her eyes, when she took her last breath late Monday, March 10th, and to when her earthly vessel was collected for delivery to the Stanford Clinical Anatomy Program. Ever the giver, Kelly hoped the cancer in her body will be a valuable teaching tool and help others.

Kelly graduated from Central Michigan University in the class of 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree. This education was put to good use in her work with Kruss USA. In 2018, Kelly had the opportunity to fulfill one of her dreams and opened her own store in Los Gatos, CA: Nantucket Loft.

It was through this store that Kelly found a circle of lifelong friends, who supported her through good days and bad days, sickness and health. Kelly and Rob spread a lot of love to their friends and family with joy filled gatherings at their home in Morgan Hill, CA, often hosting a crowd that spilled out of the house and into the backyard. Visitors to Kelly and Rob's home will carry forward many wonderful memories of great food, often cooked or grown by Rob, beautiful flower arrangements by Kelly, lots of laughter, and an immense sense of peace and love.

Kelly and Rob both explored many countries around this beautiful world of ours. She was a frequent flyer with style and a true world traveler. At home, there have been countless furry babies throughout the years - all much loved by both the Cat Lady and Cat Dad. Kelly is survived by beautiful Katie (2), playful Grayson (1), cuddly Stanley (6), and Jake (6), Kelly's special under-the-blanket snuggler.

Kelly will continue to be loved by all the friends and family who know her and who will carry forward the joy that she spreads. Rob has been waiting for Kelly on the Other Side since September 13, 2024, and we know that they have been reunited and will continue to have great adventures together in the next world. Wave hello to Rob the next time you see a raven and be sure to hang out your hummingbird feeders for a visit from Kelly. Their spirits are always with us.
