Kelly's obituary

The world is a little less fun today as we remember our beloved father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and more, Kelly Bruce Farrer, who left this life on June 25, 2025. Kelly was a big personality; he made us laugh with silly jokes and stories, so many stories. One of his joys in life was sharing his varied interests. Kelly loved music; playing, listening and especially sharing it. He played guitar and loved to work out how to play his favorites.

Kelly was a collector. He loved hats, sunglasses and shoes. Kelly was a shoe guy. He had reasons he had so many shoes, but honestly, he just loved shoes. Over the years, when you celebrated a birthday with him, you were probably gifted a knife that made you worry about your fingers or a flashlight that he thought you’d need. In recent years, Kelly has been a connoisseur of RC cars. He and Ace built, raced, and collected them together. Kelly loved to talk to you about them and wanted you to race him because sharing his interests brought Kelly joy.

Kelly was an excellent artist; he spent hours working and refining his incredible talents. He painted, drew and sketched. We are grateful to have his work to hold on to.

He was such a fun dad; he loves his daughter, Sasha, and son, Ace, fiercely. Malone and Callum, his grandsons, brought joy to his life that we all relished and will do our best to love them like he did. They will miss their “Papa Kelly” who played with them; ALL the toys Callum could bring him and all the video games Malone could find. He was a big kid at heart and that made him their inexhaustible friend.

Kelly endured a lot of loss in his life; he was preceded in death by his middle brother, Chad Eric in 1998, then devastated again when his youngest brother, Joshua Paul, died in 2004. In 2017, he & Ace lost their dear Melissa; all of his grandparents, and too many friends. It is a small comfort to think of their reunions on the other side.

Kelly is survived, loved and remembered by his favorite son, Ace, his favorite daughter, Sasha (Braxton), Malone and Callum, his parents Bruce and Debbie, his favorite sister, Connie (Shaun) Lucas, Sydney, Zachary, and Tyler. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who mourn with us.

Viewing will be held on Monday, July 7th at 10:00 am at the West Mountain 4th ward chapel, 902  W 400 N Payson, UT 84651, with the funeral service following at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place on July 8th. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Ace’s future needs. https://everloved.com/life-of…
