Kelly's obituary
Kelly Ann Civitarese (nee Weidenbaugh), 63, of West Lawn, PA, passed away on February 18, 2023 in her home. Kelly was born on November 23, 1959 to Stephanie and Nelson Weidenbaugh in Pottstown, PA. After graduating from Spring-Ford High School in 1979, she enrolled in fashion school before marrying and having children.
Kelly felt most comfortable and loved when she was surrounded by her family and beloved pets. She was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed creating a sanctuary in her yard and garden, places where she felt peaceful and fulfilled. She had a talent for making her home beautiful and welcoming, stylishly decorated with the antique treasures she loved to hunt. For many years, she used her antiquing expertise in her father’s auction business, clerking and performing pre-sale assessments. She passes on her love of sports, especially football and baseball, to her children and grandchildren, who she adored immensely. Those who knew her will remember her infectious laughter, sharp wit, and impeccable fashion sense.
In recent years, Kelly struggled with multiple illnesses, and her family is comforted by knowing she is able to now have peace. She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind: her children, Ashley Hartman and Vincent Civitarese; son-in-law Joshua Hartman; grandchildren Grayson and Maddox Hartman; siblings Jay and Tina Weidenbaugh, Maria Chase, and Nelson Weidenbaugh; nieces, nephews, and friends. Kelly was predeceased by her parents.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:4
A Celebration of Life will be held at Victor Emmanuel II Beneficial Society on Saturday, 2/25 from noon to 3 pm; family and friends are invited to join and share memories of Kelly. Because she loved the beach, she has requested that her ashes be spread near the ocean in Cape May, New Jersey where she recently visited with her family.
