Kelly's obituary

Kelly Brook Axford, 52, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Born on September 6, 1972, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kelly brought joy and laughter to those who knew her. A dedicated resident of Rochester, Kelly spent many years working at Walmart, where her warm smile and kind heart touched coworkers and customers alike. However, her greatest pride and joy came from her role as a mother to Chris, Jazmine, Elliott, Lily, and Olivia, and a loving grandmother to Promise, Elias and Olivia. Kelly’s infectious laugh and playful spirit were her trademarks, and she delighted in bringing smiles to those around her.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Kelly cherished hiking adventures with family and friends, where she found peace in nature’s beauty. Her vibrant energy and love for life were evident in every moment she shared with those she held dear.

Kelly is survived by her children, Jazmine, Elliott, Lily, and Olivia; her grandchildren, Promise, Elias and Olivia; her mother, Marge; her sister, Michelle (Fred); her brother, Bill (Katrina); her cherished friend, RaeLyn; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will forever carry her memory. She was preceded in death by her son, Chris, and is also remembered by Sara, Chris’s wife.

A celebration of Kelly’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by the family.
