Keith was always such a sweet soul. It was so apparent that he had joy in his heart. His passion for the things he did, namely basketball, radiated at all times. He always had amazing music taste. When Daniel Caesar plays it automatically reminds me of him. He was so amazing. It breaks my heart that he was taken so soon and I’ll be keeping you all in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I can't imagine what your family must be experiencing right now and I can't even begin to.  I pray for healing and peace during this time.

I'm so very sorry to learn about Keith's passing.  I was fortunate to be his school counselor in Plano ISD when he was at Robinson Middle School. He was an amazing kid that always did the right thing!  He always smiled and would reply, "Yes, Ms. Tisdale". I'm so lucky that are paths crossed.
To me Keith is a genuine person with so many aspirations. I got close to him this summer when we worked together at CAVA and will never forget the long conversations we had in the break rooms trying to avoid customers. He was always such a lively person, joking around and lifting everyone’s mood during a long boring shift. His passion shone when talking about his love for playing basketball. We talked about where we wanted to go for college, bonded over our similar music tastes, and how we both badly wanted to go a Daniel Caesar concert. One thing I will never forget about Keith is the love and respect with which talked about his mom and family. It was very apparent to me how much he appreciated them the people around him. Rest in peace Keith, I am so grateful our paths crossed. 🤍🤍🕊️🕊️

My sincerest condolences to the family of Keith Slaughter… as a resident of Little Elm, I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn that in our community an act of violence has led to the tragic loss of such a wonderful young man with such a bright future, and the serious injury of others.  Sending my condolences and sympathy 💐 Praying that #JehovahRapha heals and restores during this difficult time of bereavement. Losing a child , especially unnecessarily is a difficult cross to carry.  May God keep you in his tender care.

Blessings to you all,

With warm regards,

Valencia Davidson

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.

I didn’t know Keith personally, the only interaction we had was him joking around with me about my shoes. He was in my home room and my US History class last year. He was always joking around with the teacher and his friends, I never saw him in class without a smile on his face. It’s obvious to everyone that he was the type of person to always put a smile on everybody else’s face. You could just tell how much he mattered to so many students and staff at the school. My love and support goes out to all his friends and family. ❤️
