I thought about sweet Keith this morning as he and my daughter, Walsh share a birthday today. My thoughts are with all of his friends and family. I know he is missed, but try to celebrate the light and love he brought to all he encountered.

Keith and I didn't know each other very well. We met through a mutual friend around 2008 and probably saw each other five or six times over the next 15 years. He was just such a genuinely kind, caring person. Very easy to talk to - considerate, compassionate, original. We saw each other again last summer for the first time in a few years and had a memorable day at the beach just floating in the waves talking about the election, the New York Times, Columbia... My thoughts are with his family and friends. I'm so sorry for your loss.

It has taken me a while to be able to write a tribute to Keith. I was overwhelmed with disbelief.  I will always remember that beautiful smile and warm heart. He was smart, loyal and funny. As I sat at his memorial service, I was touched at the overwhelming love that was outpoured for Keith. Again and again I heard, if only he had reached out to me. If that much love surrounded him, both family and friends, there was something going on internally that we just cannot comprehend. All we know is that Keith touched our souls and will be forever missed. I truly believe that he is in God’s care now. Rest in Peace, dear Keith. Love you Joanne and Christina
