Keith's obituary
Keith Douglas McGraw, 64, of West Salem, Ohio, passed away on April 21, 2026.
He was born on August 20, 1961, in West Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Earl Henry McGraw and Dorothy Irene (Welch) McGraw.
Keith was the definition of a good time. He was always smiling, and his blue eyes sparkled with mischief from early childhood until the day he closed them for the last time. As the youngest of seven siblings, he always had someone to get into trouble with—and just as importantly, someone to help get him out of it.
He loved music and was often the first one on the dance floor and the last to leave at the end of the night. Keith was fiercely loyal to those he loved and made sure they always knew they could count on him to stand in their corner. Above all, his greatest pride and joy were his daughters and his grandson. He never missed an opportunity to tell others just how proud he was of them.
Keith was a Faithful Member of Souls Harbor Apostolic church and Loved playing the Tambourine in the GLORY corner. He went from Naked Hillbilly to Glory Man, and Love Sunday Potluck.
Keith was proud to be from the hills of Southern Ohio and often described himself as a hillbilly, born and bred. He cherished every chance to return home to Shawnee State Forest, where he could visit family and spend time in the woods he always considered home, no matter where life took him. He was a humble yet proud man who knew exactly who he was and never forgot where he came from.
He is survived by his wife Leysa McGraw of Wooster, two daughters, Heather Marie Mayle of Akron, Ohio, and Kelli Ann Ball of North Canton, Ohio; his grandson, Blake Burns of Wooster, Ohio; two siblings, Billy (Sherry) McGraw of West Salem, Ohio, and Barbara (Mike) Stump of Otway, Ohio; and his many beloved nieces and nephews: Lori (Trent) Sturgill, Kimberly (Russ) Moskel, Jeff (Jasmine) Whitehead, Nicole Cyrus, Aaron (Kristy) Cyrus, Jason (Janaye) Stump, Travis (Amy) Stump, and Duwane McGraw.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his siblings Randall Phillip McGraw, Hardy Wayne McGraw, Florine (McGraw) Whitehead, and Wilma Marie (McGraw) Cyrus; his brother-in-law David Cyrus Sr.; and his sister-in-law Peggy McGraw.
Memorial services are Thursday April 30, 2026 @ 6:30pm. Services will be held at Souls Harbor Apostolic Church 25 West Buckeye St West Salem, Ohio 44287 with Pastor Samuel Ray officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to Heather to honor Keith’s wishes to be laid to rest on Sunshine Ridge beside his parents, grandparents, and his beloved sister, Wilma Marie.
Keith will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and the joy he brought to everyone lucky enough to know him
