How you can help
My husband of 23 years left us abruptly in November 4th. We his children and myself had no way of knowing. We still aren’t exactly sure what happened, all the hospital told us was that his heart was enlarged and the bottom part of his heart was beating way to fast for the top part to keep up with and work the way it was needed. His oxygen level was extremely low as well. But no covid, that seems to be the only test that was confirmed. We just moved to florida only a few months ago, and we were just getting settled in. We are originally from Kentucky and that is where i knew I had to take my husband Keith one last time, so that is what I did. I consolidated everything we had because we were not ready and had no insurance what so ever for life altering moments like now. And I had Keith moved from hospital in Davenport to a funeral home in Lakeland to be embalmed and arranged for transportation to airport to fly back to Kentucky he was then moved to Glenn Funeral home in Owensboro. The kids and I rented a van and drove straight thru to get there and make arrangements for the only man that has ever mattered in our lives. And then in order to have a service for my husband the cost was unbelievable….. then to make matters worse the normal memorial service which usually includes casket for viewing purposes only was apparently too small for my very large six foot five 380 pound husband. So after being broken in very way that funeral home bill plus the 2000 dollar extra casket charge was 10 thousand dollars… not including everything else we had to pay, so long story short my kids and I are broken in every way… we lost our anchor and all resources that we had. Regular bills are now due and trying to think about what we need to do to move back home, so we aren’t alone in Florida is financially impossible right now. So any prayers or financial donations will all be appreciated.
