Keith's obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Keith Graves, who departed this world on January 9, 2024. Keith, born in 1966, personified warmth, adventure, and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of spirit and adventure that will forever remain etched in our hearts.

The life of Keith was filled with love and joy, shared with his beloved wife, Paulette Graves, his father Gary Graves, and his brother, Brian Graves. He was also a cherished grandfather to Ben Gordis, his bond with whom was a source of immense pride and happiness.

Keith loved indulging in the freshness of fruit smoothies. He also had a soft spot for the Rock band Poison, whose songs often rekindled his passion for singing, another element of his adventurous spirit.

Keith was never one to be confined within the four walls of a gym. He preferred the open air and sweat of working outdoors, finding it both therapeutic and refreshing. The grandeur and tranquility of Lake Tahoe made it his favorite spot for vacation, while Crissy Field held a special place in his heart for local outings.

He was a man of principle and believed in giving voice to the voiceless, one of the reasons he cared deeply about gender rights. His mantra, 'Be true to yourself', was a testament to his beliefs and an enduring lesson for all who knew him.

One of Keith's most exceptional accomplishments was the thrill of singing at Carnegie Hall, a moment that rightfully showcased his talent and passion. But beyond the limelight, he will be remembered more for his adventurous spirit, the warmth of his personality, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met.

Keith’s legacy will continue to inspire generations to come, reminding us that life is an adventure to be embraced. He lived his life true to himself, and through his words and deeds, he taught us all to do the same. We mourn his loss, but we also celebrate the life of a remarkable man who dared to live according to his own rules, and in doing so, left a lasting impact on us all.
