Keith's obituary

Keith Brooks Green passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 28, 2024. Born June 1960, in Dallas, Texas, Keith resided in Katy, Texas, with his wife Gina and their children, Elijah and Leena. Beloved husband, father, brother, son-in-law, and uncle, Keith is survived by his wife Gina Lane Green; children William Keith Green of Plano, Samantha Nicole Green of Fort Worth, Jeffrey Taylor Green, Elijah Lee Green and Leena Nell Green of Katy; his sister Linda King of Pearland; his brothers John Taylor and Robert Green of Dallas; and his Father and Mother-in-law Kenneth and LaNell Stepp of Fort Worth; Uncle Bob and Aunt Barbara Pitcock of Plano; niece Stacey Brown of Pearland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Bonnie (Wilcox) Allen and Bobby Joe Green; Uncle Bill and Aunt Nita Green;  Aunt Lena (Wilcox) Ross; and nephew Austin Green.

Keith worked as VLO Project Manager for CotecnaUSA in Houston, Texas. His career spanned over 16 years as a Marine Cargo Inspector for CotecnaUSA, Intertek and SGS. He was a highly regarded professional who provided vessel loading observation and management for USDA/USAID contracts for Food Aid sent around the world. Keith was blessed to have worked with a dedicated, talented, and loyal crew who he thought of as family.

Although Keith was proud of his work, he was most proud of his children. He very much enjoyed listening to the stories of his adult sons and providing advice to Will and Jeffrey. He admired Samantha’s nursing career and was so very proud of her achievements and career choice to help others. Keith enjoyed sporting activities with Elijah and Leena, including hunting, fishing, and archery.

In his younger years, Keith was an avid competitor himself and participated in numerous foosball tournaments. He and Gina met while playing foosball. Their competitive nature sparked a true partnership and love that endured the test of time.
