Keisha is love and softness. She is grace and love,

Motherhood

Motherhood is where Keisha blossomed. In a lot of ways motherhood transformed and empowered Keisha to be the truest and most authentic version of herself. Being a mother was one of Keisha's greatest accomplishments in life, and in that space the fundamental parts of who she was at her core were emboldened. Her nurturing spirit, abundant kindness, and generous heart made her an incredible mother. Keisha so desperately wanted her children to know and feel her unwavering love for them. She worked to create a home of love, warmth, and laughter and a safe space for her children to grow and be uniquely themselves. In this space she enjoyed spending time with her children doing an array of activities, including movie nights, playing video games and board games, and enjoying outings to the park and zoo. It was especially important to Keisha that she make holidays and birthdays special for her children. In all that she did in this life, being a mother was the greatest gift that she gave to this world.

Family

Growing up Keisha was quiet and gentle in nature. Some might even say that she was timid. However, those that knew her, knew that she was fiercely loyal and protective of those that she cared for, and this is where you saw her come alive. This translated to her relationships as she got older. She nurtured from an early age and often took care of those around her.  Family has been a foundational piece of Keisha's story. She was deeply connected to her family growing up and to the family that she created when she got married and had her own children.

Friendship and Community

Being a friend was a natural and integral part of who Keisha was. Those who were known and loved by her were abundantly blessed. Keisha was a collector of lost souls. Her light shined and was a beacon of welcome to those who needed a safe space and a soft place to land. People were drawn to her, and it was in her nature to take those people under her wing who needed someone to love and care for them. She gave into her friendships without boundaries or reserve and with no expectation of return. Her friendship was a home of warmth, kindness, encouragement, and grace.

Interests and Hobbies

Keisha enjoyed above all else getting to be a mom to her children. However, she also found enjoyment in other areas of life. Growing up Keisha found a love for books, especially romance novels. The cheesier the better in her opinion. Keisha was passionate about food. She enjoyed cooking as well as dining out at her favorite restaurants. She also liked to spend her time coloring, listening to music, and watching TikTok videos.

Education and Career

Keisha graduated early from Benson High School in Omaha NE. She went on to study at metropolitan community college. Keisha always had a passion and an interest in the human services field of work. In alignment with her generous heart and own adverse life experiences, Keisha sought work that allowed her to serve others. She worked at Sienna Frances House supporting women and families' experiencing homelessness. In that work she was greatly fulfilled in the opportunity to walk alongside other women in their journey of self-actualization and independence. Keisha empowered and uplifted the women and families that she served.
