The most important thing your mom wanted to be when she grew up was a mom. Your parents were so excited when you two were born-a dream come true!
I have never lived close by but always knew my cousin was there. My door was always open if she ever needed me and I knew she felt the same way.
She will be missed
Love,
Sheri
The Stone family took me in and helped me through my college years. Julie and Sheri were my organ students and Julie asked if I could stay with the family one night. That night stretched out to every weekend over a few years, and a few months I lived there full time. I called Kay "Mom" even though we were only 13 years apart. Her advice and how she modeled caring and love helped shape who I am. Kay's patience with my family and friends that became a part of our lives at the Stones was impressive and kind. I still find notes and recipes from Kay as she helped me cook and bake and have a healthy diet. I realize now that young adults do need support, and feel very appreciative to receive that support from the Stone family. Kay did not need to take on an extra daughter, and yet she did. I couldn't have adopted a more warm Christian family that truly meant "our home is your home". We lost her too young. :( My heart goes out to Clark, Julie, Sheri, their husbands, and the grandchildren. Carla (Cutsinger) Colwell
I'm so sorry to learn of Kay's passing. I worked with her over the last 9 years , booking her group's air at Holland America Line. Kay was so dedicated to her group's as can be seen by how many repeat guests she booked year after year. I pray that her family and friends are comforted and wish them Peace.
So many of us will miss our fearless founder, fellow traveler, and friend of Village Travelers, Kay Stone. I have had the privilege to know and travel with her over the last seven years. She has taught me so much and been an inspiration right to the end. I will always be grateful for our years together and her kindness. You will be missed!

I am sending my condolences to the Stone family, I am personally saddened because I personally lost a dear friend. My prayers go out to her all of her family and friends who knew her..!
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was so good to me...especially after my mom passed. She treated me like another daughter. She will be fondly remembered. Much love to you all.
