Background
With heavy hearts, we remember and celebrate the life of Katrina Marie Young, lovingly known to family and friends as “Trina.” At 44 years old, she was a daughter whose life brought immeasurable love, laughter, and warmth to those around her.
As her mother, I had the blessing of watching Trina grow into a woman with a truly beautiful spirit. She was sweet, playful, and full of life, with a heart that always seemed bigger than the moment. Trina had a way of making people smile, whether through her humor, her gentle kindness, or simply the way she cared so deeply about others.
Trina recently lost her courageous battle with cancer, and the pain of losing her is something words can hardly express. No mother is ever prepared to say goodbye to her child. Yet in the midst of this heartbreak, I hold tightly to the countless memories of her laughter, her love, and the special light she carried with her everywhere she went.
She shared a strong bond with her family and is deeply loved by her two brothers and her sister, who will forever treasure the memories they made growing up together and the love they carried into adulthood.
During this incredibly difficult time, our family is asking for help covering the costs of Trina’s cremation. Any donation, no matter the amount, would be deeply appreciated and would help us give her the farewell she deserves. Most of all, we ask that you keep our family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved Trina.
Though her time here feels far too short, Trina’s kind heart, playful spirit, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. As her mother, I will always be grateful that God chose me to be her mom and blessed me with 44 precious years with my beautiful daughter.
