Katrina's obituary
Katrina Amos, 49, passed away peacefully at her home on September 28, 2024, after a courageous 17-month battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Born on March 24, 1975, in Indianapolis, Katrina lived a life marked by warmth, adventure, and a deep love for her family and friends.
Katrina was known for her welcoming spirit and infectious love for life. She cherished spending time with loved ones and found joy in the simplicity of nature. An avid traveler and backpacker, she especially enjoyed exploring remote areas, with the Boundary Waters in Minnesota being her favorite destination. Katrina also had a passion for medicine, working as a dedicated medical assistant and always seeking to expand her knowledge, particularly in surgical advancements. Fulfilling her lifelong wish, her body will be donated to science, helping to advance medical research and education.
Katrina is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, Randy Amos; her two beloved children, Sabrina (Teddy) and Cameron; and her cherished grandchildren, Naomi and Joey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Roy Trahan, and her brother, Ronnie Trahan.
A celebration of Katrina’s life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 1-5 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring her memory. Please contact the family for location details. Katrina will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness, strength, and adventure will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
