Katie's obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of Katie Heichler Marie Champeau. Born March, 8th 1986 in Sheboygan, WI, leaving us too soon on August 26, 2023, Sarasota, FL.
Katie was a vibrant soul with a personality best described as kind, sociable, funny and unique. She possessed a distinct fondness for the unconventional, shown in her preference for the dark allure of Edgar Allen Poe's literature, ghost hunting, poetry and history. She loved all kinds of music, her favorite artist being, Linkin Park.
Katie had a voracious love for nature and all its creatures, big or small. She held a deep respect for animals that led her to bury every animal she came across that passed, even mice. Her favorite recreational activities included long walks around her neighborhood, greeting everyone she met, and spending time at the beach.
Her March birth date placed her among a special group of March babies who shared countless good times with her. Those old days in Sheboygan, WI will forever echo with her laughter and boundless spirit.
She had a penchant for the colors black and purple, and a peculiar taste in entertainment, relishing movies like Beetlejuice and TV shows such as Forensic Files. It was these small quirks and preferences that made Katie the unique, unforgettable person she was.
Katie is survived by her mother, Christine Heichler and father, Tony Anderson, her siblings Monica Greenwood, Mark Heichler, Gabe Heichler, Anthony Anderson, Jesse Anderson, Josh Anderson, her aunts Erika Heichler, Michelle Heichler and Linda Heichler, her Grandmother, Katherine Heichler, whom she loved very much and looked up to as a mother figure, Special friend, Brian Champeau, whom also was her husband and good friend. She is predeceased by her grandfather, Karl Heichler, whom she dearly loved, missed and looked up to as a father figure
She is further survived by nieces, nefews, cousins and friends that loved her and will miss her so much.
The absence of her cheerful presence will be deeply felt by everyone who loved her.
Katie, I pray that God was in your heart and took you home to be with our loved ones.
