She is preceded in death by wonderful, loving parents Jim and Ebbie and her two brothers Delton and Gaylon Shifflett. She is survived by her nieces Cindy Shifflett-Wright (Pittsburg, Tx), Dana Shifflett-Mick and great nephews Jorden and Hunter James Mick (Toledo, Oh).  Nephew, Marc Shifflett of Dallas, Texas. 

In February of 2023 Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas referred Kathy to a death trap better known as Regla Suyu Becquer's (murderer) unlicensed assisted living company, Love and Caring for People LLC. 

Shortly after Kathy's arrival she would be cut off from her family and access to her medical conditions would be restricted by these criminals. Kathy would then be robbed for everything she was given and built throughout her life. In less than six months-She would die under mysterious conditions. Without her true next of kin listed anymore, Kathy's body would be donated to science by the murderer's mother Mariana Dela Caridad Garcia. She would then be picked apart by strangers at the University of Texas, instead of being gracefully cared for and put to rest as she wished. What remains of her at the University of Texas has yet to be recovered as the murderer's mother has terminated access to them. 

Although we had preplanned and prepaid her funeral together and she had already purchased a plot near our family in Sweetwater, Texas, Kathy's wishes and plans were unfulfilled in death. 

There was no pastor to oversee her funeral, no prayers shared, loved ones and family did not gather to celebrate her life over fried Chicken- provided by the funeral home. There was not a rose gold casket or beautiful blue dress. There were no beautiful roses like the ones her mother grew. She was not lowered into the ground next to her parents. Instead, Kathy was taken for everything she had and then thrown away like trash. 

Kathy was not trash, she was my Aunt!

This was never the intended version of my Aunt's obituary, but cruel people aren't regulated in the state of Texas. The state of Texas allows evil criminals as the ones listed to prey on their elderly citizens. Some victims, like my Aunt have spent their entire lives supporting and living in the State of Texas only to have their state funded hospitals refer them to unlicensed individuals in their time of need. The epidemic taking place in Texas has their elderly taken as live stock lined up for the stock yards to be sold and slaughtered.
