To Kathy's boys, I am sorry for your loss. I remember your Mom fondly from so many talks when I would call to talk to you. If the "boys" weren't home, Kathy and I would spend a few minutes on the phone after she genuinely asked "How are you doing, hun?". She would take time to care, share stories, or listen to me discuss what I had been up to recently. Years later, not having spoke in 20 years, I ended on the phone again with Kathy. Excited to say "Hello" to my best friends Mom, I said "It's Tristan, from North Carolina... " Kathy replied quickly and as kindly as she had years before, and as if no time had passed "Yes, I remember you, hun, how are you?" . Kathy was a kind soul, leaving us with memories and 2 great "boys" she raised and 3 amazing grandchildren. You will be missed, but live on always in our hearts.
