Kathy's obituary

Katherine “Kathy” Colleen Miller (née Kivlehen), age 77, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado.

Born on February 17, 1948, in Pampa, Texas, Kathy lived a full and vibrant life marked by her warmth, intelligence, and deep love for her family and friends. She found joy in many roles throughout her life—wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend—and embraced each with unwavering devotion.

Kathy graduated from Miami High School in 1966 and soon after gave birth to her first son, Ty. She later relocated to Colorado and met the love of her life, Carl, whom she wed and welcomed a baby boy with, Scott. She enjoyed a fulfilling career that included time at Martin Marietta, Blinder Robinson and Swedish Hospital. Her work brought her pride and purpose, and she carried the same dedication to excellence into every aspect of her life.

She was a woman of many interests. Kathy loved puzzles and playing bridge, often gathering with friends to share laughter over cards. A passionate reader, she could often be found immersed in a good book. She also cherished time spent outdoors camping or gardening and never missed an opportunity to cheer on the Denver Broncos. Lunches with her girlfriends were treasured moments that reflected her deep appreciation for friendship and connection.

Above all else, Kathy loved being with her family. She is lovingly remembered by her eldest son Ty (Julie) Miller ; her son Scott (Jessica) Miller and grandchildren Guerin, Wyatt, Bohdi, Matthew and Wilder. Her stories about life—told with humor and heart—will be missed by all who knew her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
