Kathleen Kavanaugh, born on March 8, 1953 in Long Island, New York, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025.

A celebration of life will take place at the Claude R. Boyd–Spencer Funeral Home, located in Babylon, on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 4-6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Last Hope Animal Rescue would be appreciated.

Kathleen was the devoted daughter of Robert and Dorothy Barbara Kavanaugh and sister to Kevin Kavanaugh. She was a beloved aunt to Maureen Kavanaugh, Donna Bauer, and Sean Kavanaugh. She cherished any opportunity to spend time with her grand nieces and nephews. Kathleen’s humor made her a friend to many and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

For many years, Kathleen worked as an Electric Design Planner for Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), where she enjoyed her work and colleagues. Outside of her professional life, she was known for her love for animals. Her quick wit and sharp sense of humor brought joy to those around her. Her laughter was contagious and constant.

Kathleen’s memory will be treasured by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. May her legacy of kindness and laughter continue to inspire those who knew her.
