Kathy's obituary
Kathy Jeanne Harrah, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, left this world on February 3, 2024. She is survived by her three children, Johnny, Kody, and Emily, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Skyler. Kathy also leaves behind three siblings, and both of her parents, who mourn the loss of a vibrant soul.
Kathy battled with her health for over 30 years. Despite her enduring struggle, she maintained her faith, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Her vibrant personality was defined by her love for oldies, movie and music trivia, dancing like no one was looking, and of course, her family. Kathy's enthusiasm and playfulness was contagious, and her joy for life touched the hearts of all who knew her. She had a unique ability to make even the simplest moments fun and special for those around her.
In her earlier years, Kathy spent her days traveling, adventuring, and making new friends and memories everywhere she went. She was the life of the party. Unfortunately, her health began to take a toll several years ago. However, while Kathy's life was not without challenges, she chose to focus on bringing as much happiness to others as she could. She was always willing to share whatever she had to benefit those in need. Kathy's selflessness knew no bounds - she would give her last dollar to anyone who needed it.
Her family fondly remembers her as a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. Kathy's fierce love for Johnny, Kody, Emily, and Skyler was evident to all who met her.
In the face of relentless pain, Kathy fought with remarkable strength and resilience. Her family finds solace in knowing that she is finally at peace, free from the physical burdens that she carried for so long. Though they rejoice in her reunion with God, the pain of her absence is deeply felt, and they would give anything for one more 4-hour phone call with their beloved "Chatty Kathy," filled with laughter and her delightful movie trivia anecdotes.
Kathy Jeanne Harrah may have left this world, but her indomitable spirit, generosity, and love will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her Creator, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
