Happy Heavenly Birthday, Kathy!

Growing up with Kathy was never dull. She was always the most fun person to be around and always gave us kids great memories. Kathy is the mother to my little sister Emily. I am incredibly grateful to Kathy every day for bringing Em into my life. I remember as a kid, we were always doing fun stuff with Kathy. She taught Emily and I how to blow bubbles into our chocolate milk, she got us the coolest toys, took us to clay canvas to paint pottery aallll the time and she threw the most fun birthday parties and pool parties. Kathy introduced me to one of my favorite music artists…. Eminem. I remember bopping around town with our 3rd Starbucks of the day, rapping to his Marshall Mathers LP when I was no older than 6 years old. To this day I think of Kathy every time I am singing along to his music. In 2003, the first Pirates of the Caribbean came out. Kody and I would be hanging out in her room and Kathy would come in and start talking about Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom all googlie eyed like a teenager. She was obsessed with them… which in return I became obsessed with them (mostly Johnny Depp). I always enjoyed being at her house, cause I got to watch movies that my parents wouldn’t allow me to. I mean… did I still watch the scary/ gory stuff? Absolutely not. To this day I can’t watch that stuff, but she tried.
We all know Kathy struggled a lot for many years, but she’s always been so damn stubborn that she would not give into the illnesses. Even when she was feeling poorly, she would pray for myself and others health to get better. She was selfless in that way. She was supported and loved by family and friends that were there for her until the end. Her memory and spirit will live on through all of us. Our kids are going to hear some fun stories about Kathy and they’re going to wish we were 1/2 as cool as she was.
Rest in paradise Kathy. Thank you for the years of laughter, the best little sister a girl could have & the love you provided over the last almost 3 decades.

Kathy and I didn’t start out well. I married her ex and her children were shared between us. I fell in love with the kids and after a long period of time Kath and I became friends Kath and I would talk every week or two for at least an hour at a time! If you ever need rd a question answered call Kathy. She was the most intelligent woman I knew! In order to get my questions or replies heard, I had to stop her or I’d forget what I wanted to say. She was always polite and let me talk. She went through hard times but she thrived even when she was so sick!! She was so happy to attend Kody”s wedding. I knew she felt awful but she participated and even cut a rug or two. I can honestly say I love this girl and will never forget her. She sure loved all three of her beautiful children and never let them forget it! She’s a beautiful soul and had a wonderful heart. Rest now Kath! See you again! ❤️❤️❤️

I miss you so much. My every days are going to be less funny, sarcastic and knowledgeable (you know EVERYTHING) without you here.
I’m relieved you are not in pain any longer.
I know I will see you again.
Put a good word in for me to God, pretty please….
