Background
Kathy was a gifted seamstress who loved designing and sewing princess dresses for her granddaughters and costumes for her grandsons. About 15 years ago, she began volunteering her talents with Chico Community Ballet, a local nonprofit where two of her granddaughters dance. Kathy spent countless hours sewing in the costume shop and at home, contributing to productions such as A Very Chico Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Her beautiful work will continue to shine on stage for years to come. During her final months, Kathy dreamed of sewing and creating again and of helping fund costumes for the ballet’s next full-length production, Land of Oz, premiering in January 2027. Please join us in honoring Kathy’s memory by donating to her beloved Chico Community Ballet.
