Kathy's obituary
Kathy was born in Dallas, Texas to the late Joe and Ernestine Klein on May 3, 1955. She raised her children in Forney and retired to La Rue, Texas. Kathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joe Freeze, her children and their spouses: Taryn and Randall Piatkowski, Josh and Cara Freeze and Nicole and Kent Garrett. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Jackson and Hudson Garrett, Olivia Freeze and Adalyn Piatkowski, as well as many other loved ones and friends.
Kathy spent her life serving others—whether it was taking care of her family, sending care packages, volunteering in children’s ministry or delievering Meals on Wheels. An avid sewer and seamstress, Kathy made quilts for many and enjoyed giving back through sewing projects for various charities. Kathy’s faith was very important to her, and she was involved in many Bible study groups over the years. She was known to many as a prayer warrior. Kathy was the heart of her family and lived to show kindness to others in any way she could.
Her celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Athens, Texas. Masks are requested for those in attendance.
