I am thinking about my friend Kathy today, on the first anniversary of her passing.  The earth lost an angel.
I will miss my wonderful friend who I first met through a Puppy Love. She was so dedicated to the group and all the wonderful pups that passed through to their forever homes. She worked so diligently at all our wonderful fundraisers for Puppy Love. She loved setting up the pens with Ed and Laurie for the incoming adopted pups! She walked every one of them as well as “poop patrol” duty! So much love and patience for all of them and yes, I was fortunate to call her my friend. She was a wonderful Mom to Katie and I never heard a complaint about the cards that life had dealt her. She faced every challenge with strength and pride. I will miss my dear friend everyday and know she is keeping a watchful and loving eye on Katie and all of us❤️
Wonderful
I am so glad to have met up with my childhood friend Kathy Farrar Coyne who said to me “We were hitched at the hip and if you weren’t at my house I was at yours.” Kathy and I did all sorts of things. A few are playing softball for East Auburn. Kathy could “wing” that ball and she was proud of it too. We would swim at the gate house out to the big rock and back with her father Lester and their dog King. We would attend Edward Little high school baseball games. Kathy liked Larry Gowell a former Yankee pitcher. We would either take the bus or walk to downtown Lewiston and eat at Woolworth’s. We loved the Awful Awful’s at Godwin’s Dairy Shop. I was shy and she was out-going and it worked for us. She was so witty and I remember one day sitting on the steps at her home and all four sisters Pat, Mary, Vicky, and she were there. I was in awe on how they talked back and forth with each other-so funny! I miss my friend. We had planned to walk together in the Spring 2021 for exercise. She spoke of Katie with so much Love that I feel like I know her even though we never met. RIP my wonderful Friend, Kathy, Love, Dianna
