Kathy's obituary
Kathy Ann Davis, 72, of Ruskin, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on June 23, 2025. She was born on August 1, 1952, to Mildred Gonyo French of Hudson Falls, NY, and Leon French of Corinth, NY. Kathy treasured her childhood in Cleverdale, NY, on beautiful Lake George, with her brothers by her side.
She worked as a dedicated teacher’s aide at Bayshore Christian School for over ten years while raising her children, and later as an optical technician at Slab’s Plus.
Kathy married Rick Davis on May 24, 1985, and they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. She is survived by her two sons, Rick (Ashley) Davis of Tampa, Florida, and Nathaniel (Jessica) Davis of Ruskin, Florida; her beloved grandchildren, Jazmine, Jonathan, Tanner, Riley, and Parker Davis; and many cherished bonus grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings: Gary French, Loren (Linnea Hagberg) French of Gloucester, MA, Tom French of Warner Robins, GA, and Joanne French of Syracuse, NY, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred French; her brother, Mark French; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Lewis.
Kathy’s greatest mission in life was to bring people to the Lord. She and her husband were devoted members of First Baptist Church of East Bay in Riverview, Florida. Even during her cancer treatment, Kathy found ways to minister, sharing gifts with gospel tracts at hospitals and cancer centers. Her faith remained the heart of her journey, and she continued to witness to others throughout her illness.
A memorial service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be announced at a later date.
