It is with great sadness that the family of Kathy Marie Allison, age 65, announce her passing on April 11, 2018 at Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Rick Allison and three daughters Brooke, Sarah, and Shiloe.

Kathy was born in Ontario, Oregon on December 23rd 1952 to Olen and Leona (Lake) Plummer. She was the first younger sibling to older sister Olena. And would become older sister to brother Joey and sister Melanie. After the family moved to Northern Nevada, Kathy graduated from Hug High School in 1971. She would become the first woman to be a splicer in the state of Nevada at what was then Nevada Bell, where she would also meet her husband Rick Allison.

After the couple married in 1976, they would have their first daughter Adrian Brooke in 1978. Shortly after they would relocate to Truckee, California from Lemon Valley where they would have two more daughters, Sarah Jeane Courtney and Shiloe Melanie. In 1999 the family would relocate again to Chilcoot, California.

Kathy will be remembered by her smile, her infectious laugh, and extraordinary kindness. She had this laugh that was unmistakably hers and made others laugh to hear it. Intelligent, curious, and generous she made us richer for the time we were blessed to have her.

Kathy is survived by husband Rick Allison, daughter Adrian Brooke, grandsons Blake and Clayton; daughter Sarah Jeane Courtney (Allison) Burns, son-in-law Travis Burns, granddaughter Madysin, grandson Matthew, grandson Mayson, granddaughter Mandi, and granddaughter Makayla; and daughter Shiloe Melanie Allison. And numerous extended family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Kathy on the 9th of June, 2018 at 12pm at the Sierra Grange Hall in Vinton California. We will have a potluck following the celebration. We’d love to share a meal, memories, love, laughs with anyone who cherished Kathy.
