Kathryn Roberson Tripolites, 62, of Ferguson, NC, reunited with her long-missed husband in Heaven on Sunday, Apr 7, 2019.
Born in Newport News, VA, on Jul. 27, 1956, to the late Edward R. and Vera B. Roberson, she had been a Newport News resident from 1956 to 2011.
She was a very active follower of Jesus Christ and a caring and talented soul with a love for creating exquisite artwork for her loved ones.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Diamond Tripolites, a grand-child, her brother-in-law Alfred “Buck” Owens, and three nephews, Kevin, Lonnie, and Ronnie Berland.
Survivors include her son Diamond Justin Tripolites, daughter-in-law Holly, and her beloved grand-kittens, Annabell and Wylie, of Fort Hood, TX, her sisters, Edna Berland (Gary), of Smithfield, VA., Patricia Owens, of Wilkes County, NC, Sylvia Sanders (Jerry), of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by four nephews, Jeffrey Scott Berland, Bernard J. Thomas III, and David J. and Jason R. Sanders.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Altmeyer Funeral Home, Davidson Funeral Home, and Wake Forest Baptist Health for all their care and support.
A small graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Apr 13, 2019, at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton, VA, officiated by the Rev. Tommy J. Davidson. God bless you all in advance and from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
