Written with love by her granddaughter, Adriana, on behalf of the Treviño Family.
We invite you to join us as we celebrate the extraordinary life of our beloved grandmother, mother, best friend, and radiant soul—Kathryn (Kathy) Treviño. While we deeply miss her, we are choosing to honor her the way she wanted most—with smiles, laughter, music, and joyful stories that reflect the love she poured into every one of us. She believed in the beauty of life and in finding joy, even in the midst of the hardest goodbyes.
My Grandma Kathy was the light of our family. Her hugs were warm and unforgettable, her laughter contagious, and her heart pure gold. She lit up every room she entered and created a home full of music, good food, and comfort. Whether it was decorating for the holidays, cooking a family favorite, or spinning around the kitchen to Smokey Robinson or The Beach Boys... she lived with joy in her soul.
Her sense of style, her music, her hospitality, her strength, and her love are woven into our happiest memories. She was our hero and our guiding light.
She shared a rare and beautiful love with her soulmate, our Papa Lupe. Their love story, full of laughter, partnership, and devotion, has inspired all of us. As we continue to care for Papa with the same love Grandma gave, we do so with hearts full of her memory.
Grandma Kathy touched not only her family but also the lives of so many others. She was always there to help a friend in need, offering her time, her kitchen, her wisdom, or just her comforting presence. She built lifelong friendships with people from all walks of life, and her ability to love so freely left a lasting mark on everyone she met. Her legacy is one of connection, compassion, and a heart that gave without limits.
Please come ready to celebrate her life as she would have wanted... by sharing your favorite stories, smiling through tears, and embracing one another with love. Bring a dish, a memory, and your joy. Her spirit will be there with us, dancing between our conversations and lifting our hearts.
If you’d like to share a photo, story, or memory ahead of time or privately, you can always reach out to me directly.
With so much love,
Adriana, on behalf of the Treviño Family
