Kathryn's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathryn Muller, who left us peacefully on November 18, 2024. Born in 1936, to Grace and Oliver Perrault, she grew up all over the place, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Texas. After high school she moved to San Jose to be with her sister Marie, Kathryn eventually married and had five children. Years later, she made her way back to San Jose and went to college, obtaining her AA and then BA in speech Pathology, after which she began working with disabled children. Kathryn led a fruitful life, rich in experiences and marked by the love she lavished on those around her.
Kathryn will be remembered as a woman of exceptional warmth, with an infectious happiness that was as constant as her love for life. Her generous spirit touched all those fortunate enough to know her, leaving a lasting impression that will continue to live on in our hearts.
Perhaps one of the best lessons Kathryn imparted to us was to genuinely listen to others. She believed that everyone had a story to tell, and by lending a sympathetic ear, we could learn and grow from their experiences. This act of empathy, so characteristic of Kathryn, was just one of the many qualities that made her the remarkable person she was.
Kathryn is survived by her loving children, Alex Barnes, Lynn Guest, Cindy Sinor, David Johnson, Paul Johnson and Paul Muller III, who will proudly carry on their mother's legacy. The cherished memories, invaluable lessons, and the enduring love Kathryn shared with them, will forever remain an integral part of their life. She leaves 10 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters.
A Celebration of Kathryn's life is scheduled for July 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Penttila's chapel by the Sea. It is here where we will come together to honor her memory, to share our stories of Kathryn, and to bid our gentle farewell to this extraordinary woman.
As we continue on without Kathryn, we will remember her light, her love, and her zest for life. Though she may be gone, Kathryn's spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. May she rest in peace.
