Kathy's obituary

Kathy was born July 6, 1965 to James & Diane King in Melbourne Florida. When Kathy was 6 years old they moved to a little house in Cocoa, Florida. She was the oldest of three children. She has two brothers, David & Joey. She attended Cambridge Elementary, Clearlake Middle School and Cocoa High School.

Kathy loved her family & friends. She had the best times with the neighborhood children, her best friend, Lisa, her brothers who she adored and she LOVED animals. Her childhood dream was to become a Veterinarian. Late in her teenage years she met the love of her life, Rodney. Kathy & Rodney were married November 24, 1984. Seven short months later she became a mother to a little girl, Jennifer. A little over a year later she gave birth to a boy, Jeffrey.

She stayed at home to love and raise her babies. Her children were her whole world and she made sure they always knew that.

Kathy enjoyed playing softball, going to the movies, loved her soap operas and loved spending time with family & friends.

Quite a few years later she was surprised to learn she was once again expecting another baby. October 28, 2002 she gave birth to another boy, Austin.

Through the years she became a grandmother and loved every second of that role and everything that came with it.

She moved to Trenton, SC late 2007. She continued to stay home and raise Austin.

Kathy passed away unexpectedly March 5, 2021. She was 55 years old.

She leaves behind her husband Rodney, children; Jennifer (Jesse) Redick, Jeffrey (Ali) Welsh and Austin Welsh. Nine grandchildren; Cristian, Kenny, Jenasia, Lyssie, Aaidan, Ian, Avery, Charlotte and a grandson on the way, Jeffrey David. Her brothers ; David (Stephanie) King, Joey (Jennifer) King. Three nephews and two nieces.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother & brother.

There will be a celebration of life March 7th, 2021 at 12:00pm in Trenton SC.
There will be another Celebration of life in her hometown of Cocoa, FL March 20th.
