Kathleen Anne Shelton (nee Reisner) passed away 9/7/20 (fittingly on Labor Day) at age 79 after a lengthy affliction of Alzheimer’s Disease. Born in Portland August 28, 1941 to Robert T. Mercer and Marian “Binnie” Dukes, her family relocated in 1955 to the South Sound, and Kathleen graduated from Olympia High School in 1959. She attended WSU for a year before meeting Galen Schmidtke, getting married and having two sons. In 1966, the young family …
