I am part of the 50th reunion committee for Mira Loma HS' Class of 76.  Kathy will definitely be missed, and I know the committee will be deeply saddened by the news.  Kathy was a joyful and artistic presence for her classmates.  Many fond memories will occur with the mention of her name.  May peace be hers and my condolences to her husband and Clift & Kristina.

My beloved friend, my beautiful Kathleen, my darling K* ... I miss you. It's already been more than a year since your passing but still ... it's a bit difficult for me to fully believe it.  We were 2 online friends from different continents and never met in person but how come our connection was so real and deep? I know why: because you were one of those rare and genuine people that know how to show interest, respect, and empathise with others. We clicked from day one back in 2012 and shared a wonderful friendship ever since. Throughout the years I was blessed to enjoy and benefit by your company, your brilliant mind, your witty humour, your love + knowledge on Art (that was so precious to you) and your sincere interest for me and my loved ones. I will never forget the way you cared about me and my partner.  Your advice, the joy you felt with our happy moments. I will never forget the way you helped and encouraged me during my father's loss even though you were dealing with family losses and health issues yourself.  This is how strong you were. This is how caring you were. I miss all of that and ever more. I wish we could have had more time together. My life would have been richer and brighter. But I'm keeping so many pieces of you with me. Always. Thank you for everything, I love you and I wish you peace ... my beloved friend, my beautiful Kathleen, my darling K*
I’m just now learning of the passing of our dear Miss Kitty. I don’t think I can articulate what her kindness meant to me as a single mom navigating so many challenges eleven years ago. I will treasure the times she showed us something new (all the time), the laughs, and when she honored me by letting me cover story times in her absence. We took some pictures together when my now teenager was just a toddler- those can go back up the fridge. We’ll read something silly and heartwarming for you today, Kathleen. Thank you for everything.

I am deeply sad and sorry to read about Kathleen’s passing. We met when my eventual husband, Mark, worked with her at Moffitt Library at UCB.  We became great friends and spent many an evening together roaring with laughter, watching Crime Story on TV (she loved it!), and/or engaging in various shenanigans together.  Her “Homebound Sister” dog bone ornaments are my most cherished Christmas tree ornaments to this day.  We were in sporadic contact over the years since we moved away from the Bay Area circa 1989, but Mark and I often talk about her and the many good memories we have of our times together.

I just came across this photo of her, taken on a fabulous evening in April 1987 where her wit and warmth and loveliness were shining bright. It was my birthday and she helped me celebrate at the Tonga Room in SF.  Belated but most sincere condolences to all those who loved her.  Love and peace to you, Sister Kathleen.

Thinking of our lost family members today, Kathleen.  You are now with the others. Mom, Dad, Dan and Kathleen, please watch over Clif and me. I know we'll all be together one day, as Dad promised.    Clif and I are still processing our sheer disbelief that you, our third side of the triangle, are gone.  We've taken sprinkles of you many places since you left us, and next is Las Vegas and then Yosemite -- and then onward to Greece you go!   You'll love floating there in the waters, I'm sure.  I love you and miss you.

Kathleen and I met when we worked together at UC Berkeley in the late 1980's. We both worked at Moffitt Library and it was one of the library's student workers who began calling her Kitty and the name fit her so perfectly. She was a joy to know and be around. Her humor, her love of art, her bright outlook, her kindness and sensitivity were magnets that drew people to her. She was my best friend there. She and I stayed in touch, we took two trips together to New York City, and got together whenever we could.  I miss her very much and am so grateful we were friends. She was one of those people who just made your day brighter and filled it with laughter. Rest in Peace, Kitty.

Kathleen’s spirit lives on in multiple generations of youth she mentored, inspired & touched.  Her story times at the Civic Center Library were legendary. She was a wonderful colleague and beloved by MCFL staff.  She will be deeply missed!

I am a friend of Kristina and Clif.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Your sister is now at peace and is no longer suffering.   Please offer my condolences to her husband.   Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.  Your east coast friend, Tommy.
