Kathleen's obituary

Kathleen Yenzer Rauch

June 12, 1951 – October 21, 2025

Kathleen “Kathi” Yenzer Rauch passed away on October 21, 2025, at JFK Hospital in Edison, New Jersey, at the age of 74.

Kathi was the daughter of the late George R. and Gertrude (Bates) Yenzer. Born and raised in Westfield, New Jersey, she earned a teaching degree from Brandywine and St. Bernard College in Alabama. She later returned to New Jersey, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Kathi enjoyed simple pleasures—trips to the Catskills, swimming at the lake, sudoku puzzles, summer barbecues with family, browsing tag sales in search of hidden treasures, The Beatles, and spending time with her two grandsons.

She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Thul, and son-in-law, Stephen Thul, of South Plainfield, New Jersey; her grandsons, Gavin and Colton; her sister, Dorothy Vecchione of Westport, Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Rauch; a brother, Robert Yenzer; and a sister, Mary LaPoint.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal public service. A private memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate her life among close family and friends.
